We have been enjoying the many wonders of Loreto since 2003.  We are both field biologists, specializing in studying the bat fauna of Baja.  (Don’t worry there aren’t any bats in the Casa!)  In our experience, Loreto offers a host of experiences from kayaking, whale-watching, sport-fishing, snorkeling, island tours, mountain expeditions, cave painting tours, mule and horseback rides, etc.  Eco-tourism is a bustling business in Loreto and there are many great companies that can arrange the kind of adventure you are seeking.  It is also the place we come to for a little rest and relaxation between expeditions.  There continue to be more and more fabulous restaurants from which to choose in a variety of price ranges and styles (from gourmet to taco stands).  Our photos included here give a sampling of the kinds of sights and experiences we have had in Loreto and surrounding environs and reveals our bias for nature travel and adventure.  We will continue to update this part of our website to bring new images and suggestions about vacation and holiday fun in Loreto!
